Steps to be followed:
1. check whether audio driver is installed properly ? if not install audio driver & check 2. check audio setting in control panel & confirm 3. connect external speaker in laptop and check whether sound is coming? if sound is coming then ur laptop internal speaker need replacement 4. if there is no sound in external speaker then need to check ur motherboard or sound card. All the best.
well if no sound is coming out then first you just check wire connection properly. and when everything is ok then just check for the driver .. sound driver is properly installed or not.. you can do this in control panel then device manager. now if you see driver is not installed then go online search driver .. for your sound card,, thatsit.. your problem will get solved .. :D
Make sure the speakers are hooked up properly and also that the sound card drivers are installed, you can verify this by going into the device manager. The main speaker wire has to be hooked up to the output of the computer sound card.
If the sound card drivers are installed and the speakers are hooked up properly and your still not getting sound, try the speakers on another computer that you know has sound. If the speakers work then its a sound card driver issue on the original computer. If the speakers don't work on another computer then you know the speakers are bad.
dont pay any attention to the windowes incompatability messages, just load the downloaded drivers,,if you need to,,un-install the old ones,,then go into advanced setting for your sound,,and map your device to the correct player,,ie, sound blaster,,Ac97 etc
actually u have to tell that which laptop u have is it compac,toshibaa,...etc.go to google.co.in and write "free sound card for compac'model no.' " ok than they will show u the softwares u have to download it ok bye tc.
You need to install the correct driver for the sound device, because with win XP it can install a generic driver but it wont be working properly so if its a built sound on your MOBO you need to install driver for it from the MOBO setup CD.
go to your sound settings in your control panel and it has steps for you to
check to see why your speakers are not working properly.Make sure that you have the drivers
installed. You might want to re-install your drivers. Look in your device manager
for this.If your device manager has a
question mark by your sound drivers then the drivers are not installed.I hope that I hope that I helped you Solve
