Sony KLV-S23A10 takes approx 30 minutes to warm up

Hi there are a few things that could be bad on this TV. the first thing I would check is the T-con board if that's not the problem then the signal board and last the screen itself. If you are planing on doing it yourself you can get parts from www.interliquidparts.com

Above stated both codes are common for [SONY KLV-S19A10 _ KLV-S26A10 - KLV-S23A10 AND KLV-S32A10 compactable]. OK.

You either have a malfunctioning LCD controller(T-con) or the panel itself is faulty. The T-con is very inesxpensive and easy to replace but the panel is gonna cost you nearly as much as a new tv. Let me know if you want to give the t-con a shot so that I can guide you to fix it.

this may be a problem on the 5 volt line in the set, there is a constant 5 volts running through it even when it is off....so long as its plugged in.
There may be condensors that are open on the 5 volt line.. after they warm up they start to function more proper. but being that they are leaky..they are no longer doing thier job of keeping voltage steady until they warm up.

i do not condone this but if you were to open it up , im willing to bet you have a series of swollen or blown condensors that are not doing thier job on the pwb (power supply board) if thats the case its a 30 minute fix for a technician. Id like to discuss this with you further , i do have a couple questions that may help me diagnose this.

Good day sir/maam, the trouble is caused (possibly) by the failure of the IF amplifier system of your TV, it is usually sets of transistors, or an IC that controls the gain of your TV. Have your service repair man check the section fro the tuner stage to the IF stages. chances are the IC is not functioning properly. Hope this helps.

Sounds like a power supply fault due to leaky capacitors(electrolitics).
From cold take the back off and run a hair dryer over the power supply for a few minutes then switch on,if it comes up fully working then you have to isolate the faulty part/parts and replace.

This model is a monitor unit, it does not have a TV tuner and therefore no antenna connector/jack.
