Quick Question regarding a set up

As far as I know the company does not deal with Restoration Disk/s for the Everex line of computers.

I have two suggestions, but may not be what you want. (Don't shoot the messenger, lol!)

One;
Buy a fresh, new genuine copy of Windows Home Edition. The same version that was on the computer, install it. When asked, YES, you want to keep the old files that are on there. (Assuming you wish to save personal information that is on the laptop. If not perform a Full Installation)

You may have to go into the BIOS Setup, and in Boot Options set the first boot device to CDROM.
This forces the computer to boot off of the disk in the optical drive.
(Windows doesn't like to write over a previous operating system, with the same version of operating system.
If it was an upgrade to Windows 7 per se, it would be alright)

Two;
Download Ubuntu, and install it for free.
A whole new world through a Linux operating system.

METHOD 1 - Using Internet connection using DSL or cable connection.
1st. If you wish to connect to the Internet with a LAN cable or a wirelessly and if your computer doesn't have a LAN card or wireless LAN card you need to purchase a LAN card (to configure the wireless router) and if you want a wireless connection you will also need to purchase a wireless LAN card.

METHOD 2 - Using USB wireless adapter that plugs into the laptop's USB port. It doesn't need a wireless router or a cable or DSL modem.
This is used mostly on laptop computers which allows Internet access anywhere the Internet Service Provide has a wireless transmitter. It uses the G3 mobile system.
This type of service usually costs more and again you need to select an Internet Service Provider that can provide the wireless coverage, the plan and costs that suit your requirements.
Installation and setting up information is supplied by the ISP.

The Everex SA2052T uses the same battery as a Averatec 2260 (2200 series) laptop. I purchase one from provantage.com this week. The battery is made by BTI and the model number is AV2200. It works perfectly.

Enter into your coms setup .Select setup defaults.Save it.Then after starting your os set the power option to never for monitor,standby and harddisk.
