Water pressure makes the unit kick on and off. If it's turning on by itself then most likely somehow water is draining back into the pump. It could be leaking water from the toilet tank, to the bowl and from the bowl to the pump. Or the check valve inside the discharge elbow may not be closing all the way down and is allowing waste water to drain back into the pump creating enough water pressure that makes the pump kick on and off. Inspect the flapper on the flush valve and the check valve on the discharge elbow on top of the macerating pump.

Pump randomly runs

This problem maybe caused by a slight weep of water from the cistern the saniflow has a sensitive float system , once level is reached the unit will turn on until required level is acheaved again . So check toilet bowl to see if the is a trickle of water if so you need to take a look at the flush system in your cistern.

Here is a nice link for your saniflow maintenance.

I have a saniflow for toilet and when flushed it makes a whirring noise and gradually goes to a loud crunching noise at this point i turn power supply off when turned back on its ok till next flush !p

find water pressure regulator. it will have a bolt coming out of the top with a nut at the base of it.loosen nut. while toilet is being flushed, adjust bolt till noise stops. turn bolt clockwise to adjust.

My neighbours saniflow toilet is drivng me mad. The motor keeps whirring every 5 mins. Whats the problem, please!

Water pressure is what makes the unit kick on and off. If its kicking on by itself most likely water is somehow draining back into the pump. Start by checking the flapper in the flush valve inside the toilet tank, it may be leaking water into the bowl and from the bowl into the pump. Also inspect the check valve inside the 90 degree elbow where the waste is pump out from. The check valve may not be closing properly and is allowing waste water to drain back into the pump creating water pressure making the unit kick on and off by itself.

Saniflow system keeps frequently flushing even when the system isn't being used. the system is working normally but it keeps flushing through the day and night.

Need to check the flapper inside the toilet tank. this is what opens when you press on the toilet handle. you may need to replace it or replace the whole flush valve assembly.

My saniflow dosnt allways come on when you flush

That can be a problem with the pressure chamber, the membrane might be warped or the micro switch may be defective. Open the lid and remove the motor and presure chamber. Inspect the unit for damages or any broken pieces. Check that the membrane is not warped. This can be tested manually by placing the motor on a work bench and putting pressure on the membrane to manually start the pump on and off. If parts are needed you can buy them through Saniflo directly. Their website is www.saniflo.com

Saniflow pro xr keeps running and blowing trip fuse any idea's

Mine did this, have you tried using a drain cleaner to break up any blockage? I had to unblock the outlet pipe by connecting a garden hose and flushing it out.

What is the best product/chemical to keep Saniflow free of calcium build up ?

Hi,

I would suggest not using standard drain cleaner as it could cause damage to the seals inside the unit. Saniflo suggest the following

Hope this helps

My saniflow toilet is blocked and a plumber has told me i need a new motor. where can i get this and how much are they?

If you hear it making noise the motor isnt blown, but it could be clogged.

A quick an easy fix is by filling a 5 gallon bucket with hot water (or warm water) and slowly pouring it into the bowl. The warm water breaks the particles up further, and will help flush the unit out. Make sure you run the water alot after its cleared out (to flush the debris). You can do that by turning on the shower or sink (if connected). If you dont have a shower or sink just keep flushing the toilet.
