Press FN and F3 together (i think) on that model) it will disable your onboard WIFI

Acer Aspire T180 GB7Z has built-in Ethernet (Wired LAN), But it has no wi-fi capabilities. However, you can add an External USB or PCI Wireless Card to enjoy Wireless Internet.

Yes, it has. You can't view DVD's because for that you need specialized codecs or media players. 
To view DVD's install VLC -   http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
To burn dvd disks that can be played on a regular dvd player you need to programs: one to convert your video file - i use

Providing the wireless adaptor is a PCI card this fits the white slot on motherboard.
Should it be USB, then plugs in the USB port.

Thjis PC has a SATA (serial) drive. You have to purchase a SATA cable and a SATA power cable. Then you can install it on the SATA 2 port on the motherboard.
