HP Photosmart 1218 scanner would send photos to Outlook Express by opening email with access to all my addresses in OE. How can I have access to OE addresses with my new HP Photosmart Prem C310a all in one?
You dont have to download the new version of drivers
what u can do is just install the full feature drivers from the disk and you will get all the options
The software is not installed properly
Go there and try download the Drivers and Utility for the 64-bit Version of Vista. Pretty bad that HP's own website has the info you need, yet they say it won't work.
Ensure that the drivers are the ones for Vista. If drivers on disk are not the ones for Vista, download from here HP PSC 2400 Photosmart All-in-One Printer series - Download... Additionally, Vista has what is called User account conrol (UAC) interface. This will start the installation program without administrator privileges.
Locate the setup file on the disk, click right mouse button on file, and from the drop down menu chose "Run as Administrator"
I had the same problem. Click Start, Windows Photo Gallery, from that screen, you can select import from scanner. The 1200 series printer should be a choice to select. You are then able to preview the image or document, then press scan. I found this out through the HP support website.
Have you downloaded a "driver" for the printer. If not, search for "Lexmark 1200" free driver downloads. Or go to "control panel" and click on "add new hardware" and follow the onscreen instructions. Try this first and if not work, then do the search.
