Moen 7910 Chateau Two-Handle Kitchen Faucet with Side Spray Chrome... Logo
Anonymous Posted on Aug 22, 2010

Moen two-handle kitchen faucet, 1990's model installed new a few years ago, is leaking underneath at the center where the spray hose would connect. I didn't use the hose, though. The nut was tight. It looked wet above the nut. Where is the leak coming from?

The nuts used for capping off the sprayer attachment will bottom out and not seal. Unless there is tape or thread compound on the nut, it can spray a tiny jet up under the faucet when the faucet is activated. If there is clearly water leaking from above that, then the o ring for the spigot may be failing and need replacing. If this is the case, it will only leak when the faucet is activated. There is always the possibility of a crack in the casting of the faucet body; hope not:)

Testimonial: "Thanks a lot, farmerbear. I think it was leaking when the faucet was off, so it's probably the cap I used. Remove it and seal better; I'll try it! "

Moen Waterhill Bridge S713NL. How to replace cartridge? Can't get handle off?

Question edited for clarity and add CAPS.

Here is the parts breakdown. Your model is discontinued.

The hand lever unscrews, the part that holds the handle looks like a push fit and then there is a screw collar holding the cartridge. Increase Zoom to 200%.

It looks like they disagree with me, and their way is easier!

  1. Moen Plus Support · 11 months ago Hello F Cashman and thank you for your interest in Moen products. The handles for the Moen Waterhill Chrome Two-Handle High Arc Kitchen Faucet are removed by holding the lever stationary, while unscrewing the base of the handle hub counter-clockwise to remove the complete handle. HOW TO CONNECT DISH SPRAY

My first question is it a moen factory dish spray hose for that model? If not and it is a universal type it might not work at all on the moen. If it is a true replacement part then check the threads both on the faucet body and on the hose end to make sure they are not damaged or cross threaded. If the original hose was put in and cross threaded the connection on the faucet body the new hose will probably not screw on. If this is a quick disconnect model make sure that the faucet body connection is clean and place a small amount of faucet lube on the hose connection to help with installation. Sometimes what might happen when replacing a quick connect end is the old hose left bits of O-ring in the faucet connection which will not allow the new end to seat properly.

I am having a leak with the hydrolock going to the sprayer hose on a new Moen faucet. I have taken it apart a few times to make sure it's together right, but I can't get it to stop leaking.

Three years ago, I installed a Moen kitchen faucet with sprayer
in one of my rental units. Moen twice sent replacement
Hydrolock kits, as I couldn't get them to seal. While waiting for the Moen parts to arrive, I used a short length of heater hose purchased at AutoZone, held on by two small hose clamps. After all three Hydrolocks had failed to seal, I just left the heater hose in place. Three years and no problems. ..and no more Moens, either.

Single handle Spray faucet leaks at it's base, leaking under the kitchen sink

If you still have the receipts from the purchase call Moen directly as they warranty their faucets for life and will send you the replacement parts you need. If you need to purchase replacement parts then you can purchase a Moen single lever repair kit from your local hardware store which should run you around $10. Go the the Moen website and look for your model. They generally have an exploded view of every one of their models that will assist you in dissassembling the tap without any surprises. Reassemble the tap with the new o-rings etc installed and test.

Handle won't stay up

I did the same thing recently, that is replaced the cartridge on my moen kitchen faucet to stop and leak, and I also have the same problem. I called moen back and they sent me another cartridge that was supposed to fit tighter, I suppose. I just put the new one in and it still wont stay up. I'm going to call moen one more time and then I guess I'll have to buy another faucet, but NOT moen!!! Good luck with yours.

I am reinstalling a Moen 7345 riser faucet in my laundry room. This faucet was removed from a bar sink two years ago by the contractor who replaced my kitchen counters and changed my two kitchen sink...

I had a similar problem and, like you, found that there was nothing for the washer to seat against. Apparently, there was a metal bushing installed when manufactured, that was entirely eaten away by electrolytic corrosion - mine took nearly twenty years. I machined a new non-metallic bushing, installed it, and the problem was solved.

I also sent Moen's president a letter explaining the problem and how to fix it but heard nothing back from them. At the time, no parts were offered that could fix the problem.

I have a moen pull out kitchen faucet that leaks

You have a bad internal o-ring or the sprayer o-ring is leaking, if you look under the sink turn it off and then turn it back on, if you see it leaking out the center shft where the water pipes go into then the faucet may have a broken pipe or loose pipe. check and tell me where it's leaking at. You can buy kits to repiar them they are inexpensive.
