Sim card hey...i accidentally blocked my sim card and now the key board is locked.i figure out that the PUK code is my phone number i think but now after that it says that that i have to enter the new PIN code so i put in a 4 digit # and verified it and after that it says "could not change PIN"

PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a uniqueeight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PINnumber to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. Pincode stands for PERSONEL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER. It is the fourdigit number which is used to lock the phone. The phone will ask for the code when you switch on it.With out entering the correct pin code you can't access your phone.If you enter the pin code wrongly for a specified(normally 3)number of ties your sim will get locked.You can't use that sim in other phones also without unlocking it.PUK code (PERSONAL UNLOCK KEY)is used tounlock the sim card if it is blocked.PUK code is provided by the network operators.If the PUK code is entered 10 times wrongly the sim card gets permenantly blocked.

just call ur network provider customer care and ask for the puk code.

A PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) is the code required for enabling/unlocking a sim card. This disabling/lock is a result of erroneously entering the PIN (Personal Identification Number) multiple times. Depending on the SIM card issuer, erroneously entering the PUK code multiple times would result to a permanently blocked/disabled SIM card. The PUK code is an OTW (one time write) only and therefore the only way to open the card is with the PUK code.

In all instances, it has nothing to do with the phone itself but with the SIM card, hence, the LG Vu CU920 would still work with another SIM card.

Every PUK code is unique so nobody can tell you your PUK number, but i will tell you what you can do!
1) If you still have your packet that your Sim Card came in, you should find your PUK number in there, if you don't have the packet, please read bellow.

2) You must get a phone that is on the same network as your phone and call the networks Customer Care and ask them for your PUK number, they will ask you for your phone number, then they will tell you your PUK number. Once you have done this, you will be able to reset your Pin number so you will be able to go into your phone again.

puk number is given by the network provider ....

i think you blocked the pin code by entering the wrong pin code for 3 times so it is asking for the puk code ..

to get puk code you must follow these steps :

1. call to your network provider customer care

2. tell them that your pin code got blocked you want puk code

3. if they ask any details about the sim card owner you answer that one ...

4. then make a note of the puk code and enter in to your cell

if you enter the wrong puk code for more than 3 or 10 times your sim will get fully blocked you must purchase the duplicate sim card or you must contact the network provider shoppe ...

You should get your PUK number from your service provider... no one else have it

You should have a PUK number, on the plastic card where your sim card was. Enter pin numbers 2-3 more times and your phone will lock itself and request the PUK number... tap it in and hey! presto.
