Need to know if a looped ground would make it where the tuner on my car stereo works fine but the cd player only uses the subs and no other speakers work ? On a 1995 BMW 325i

It sounds to me like you are using more than one amplifier and are using the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) to turn the amp for the rest of your speakers. The blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode, thus turning off the amp(s).

No sound.

The first thing you need to do is doublechecking all the new wirings, it sounds like a contact.

We just installed the Kenwood KDC-X692 in our 1993 BMW 740il. The tuner works, but the CD has no sound and the AUX doesn't work either. I'm also confused on the bluetooth ready but lack of instructions...

i'm assuming you are going through an amplifier. if so it sounds like you are using the blue wire instead of the blue/white wire to turn the amplifier on. i can't really help you with the bluetooth though.

Kenwood head unit CD and AUX sound not working

I fixed the sound problem with tech support from Kenwood. I had the blue wire from the Kenwood which is the antennae turn on wired to the amp turn on for the vehicle (2001 Blazer with Bose factory stereo). This is how I was told to wire it from the installation tech where I purchased the wiring harness. The tuning played fine because the Bose amp turned on when I played the tuner but when I played the cd or aux the amp turned off, thus no sound. The kenwood tech toldd me to wire the blue/white wire to the amp turn on for the vehicle so the amp would be on when ever power to the Kenwood was on. I rewired this way and everything works great now.

For your Jetta, you may need a different wiring harness.

You need to be able to trace the wiring from the two dins on the back of the Kenwood receiver, and une the wiring diagram for the 1996 Jetta.

Perform your cross reference here for the receiver wiring:

Here's the wiring for your Jetta:

From the jetta wiring, it looks like your Right Front speaker isn't connected.

Kenwood ks-122 in-dash car stereo/cd changer

hello chevi1981..what can happen is if whoever installed your system did not run your speaker wires properly eg if they have worn through and touching metal or a screw through the wires ,it can blow the audio ics in unit resulting in no sound.all these high powered units have above ground circuits in the audio stage .to check ,hook up a separate speaker direct to your unit, separate wiring ,if no sound, will most likely be the intergrated circuits..these will have to be changed by a tech as cd players are a beast to work on,also your 2 speaker wires should not touch one another.with your sec code if your have a removable face you may not have a code ,as removing face is your security .hope this helps
