Blue screen setup TV in MS Vista Ultimate

I installed vista ultimate on my media PC, installed no problems setup all hardware. when i went to media center to setup all ok until i tried to setup the TV portion. I ran through most of the setup but when it starts to show the actual channel and sound, the sound screeches and it aborts blue screen. The screen passes before i can see what the error said. your thoughts.

Installing windows vista ultimate - computer shutdown and now there is a blank screen - nothing is happening

HI NOT TO WORRY.....it would have been better if youve mentioned the operating system which is installed in your pc now...anyways what you can try is

Try to check the compatibility of the computer for installing windows vista ultimate mentioned below are the sytem requirements......

Additional requirements:

Actual requirements and product functionality may vary based on your system configuration.

While all editions of Windows Vista can support multiple core CPUs, only Windows Vista Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise can support dual processors.

Minimum requirements:

  • 800 megahertz (MHz) processor and 512 MB of system memory

  • 20 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space

  • Support for Super VGA graphics

  • CD-ROM drive

Product functionality and graphics may vary based on your system configuration. Some features may require advanced or additional hardware.

try and check for this in your pc...becoz this could be the only problem(compatibilty)

if everything is fine try this

turn of your computer completely

then use a paper clip or pin to open the cd drive(it will not open by pressing the button when the computer is off)

put the disc in and turn on your computer

you would be redirected to a vista installation page

might take about 40 to 50 minutes

and create a new user name and password for you

and we are ready to go

also try to check the hardware functionalty before you install the vista ultimate...and once installed it seems all the same as its pronounced(ultimate).....hence try to experience the ultimate action...have a great day

A solution to that is to install Windows Vista Ultimate on top of your old vista installation. Just insert your Vista DVD and restart your computer. And simply follow the instructions for the installation.

VAIO VGN-AR630E Drivers for Vista Ultimate

Vista Home premium drivers will work perfectly with Windows Vista Ultimate. When installing Vaio event service and Vaio Control center make sure that you run setup file as administrator. Right-click the setup file and select option "run as administrator". By reinstalling utilities this way they will work perfectly well

Downgrading from windows 7 beta to windows vista

Did you happen to make a recovery point? Vista is pretty good about this. Restart your system and push f8 until you get to the recovery and troubleshooting. Then just use recovery console and restore it to a previous point. If you cant do this you might need to do a fresh install of vista.

Ms office

Sure you can. Vista may ask you a confirmation before any software installation (uses to show a darker screen , with a little window in the center , for your confirmation). After that , the install runs normally.

Problem

Vister has know driver problems with some hardware. Check MS VISTA update site for updates. Also try an older sound card. Some people go back to XP 64 when hardware problems and compatibility with Vista persist. It still sin't all fixed.
