VISTA I need to get VISTA to recognize my Microsoft LifeCam 1.1. Can you help me?

Please be sure that the VX-700 does not require a driver software as it installs by its own. So remove all previous conflicting softwares of webcams and then connect the VX 700 to be detected as a new hardware and installed.

you need to download the driver for vista for this camera from microsoft.

There are number of ways:
1. Connect the camera to the PC and go 'start' - 'Windows update' and let Windows and the update site find the driver for you.

2. Search using your browser by going to Microsoft.com and entering 'driver lifecam VX-1000'. The search will provide you with a number of options, one of those will be for Vista.

3. Right click on 'My Computer' -'Manage'-'Devices' and pick the one with the question mark (should be your Lifecam), 'update driver' and let it search the internet for the driver.

go control panel , go programs and features , find Microsoft lifecam , highlight that line and click uninstall
as for the rest go to recovery /device manager and click on restore
it will ask for a restore to date and you add that in then start so if you added lifecan 1 week ago , select 2 weeks before that

cano't instal my microsoftware cd in my vista pc it was working well windos xp please solve me this problem i can use other model micro soft lifecam software it will work please help me

You need to get the update with Vista driver. so it will work with Vista.
