I received the Barbie 11301 from a friend ,no manual. Can you download your manual and e-mail or send it to me, please. I am better with illustrations to look at , rather than read the directions on the screen. thank you in advance. roseann price , [email protected]

1. Attach a spool of thread to the machine with the upper spool pin and spring. When you pull on the thread, it should unwind from the spool counterclockwise. Pull the thread from the spool, through Thread Guide 1. Next, slide it between the two discs of the thread tension dial.
2. Pull the thread through the guides in this order. down through Thread Guide 2, down through the Thread-pulling bar, to the left through Thread Guide 3 and down through Thread Guide 4.
3. Raise the needle using the Handwheel and bring the thread through the eye of the Needle from left to right.

As you go right to left across the top of the machine is the threading pattern and then down through the thread pulling bar ( it moves back and forth across the front of the machine as it runs) and then down the arm to the needle. Use a thread bobbin on the spool pin at the begging of the threading process. This machine does not use spools of thread.

Hope this helps.

Barbie Sewing Machine: threading
directions by KKmom solved the threading problem for me. I think the pin with the spring on it might be the bobbin winder. I used the spool pin on the TOP of the machine. You might have to pull it up. Also, the red button in front of the discs(tension) is the tension control. You might need to adjust it slightly to get the proper stitch. The patern? of the thread from the tension disc seems to look like a ziz-zag pattern - then down from the third thread guide. Thanks to KKmom. You certainly made short work of solving my threading problem.

Getting my delta overlocker fy14u to stitch, cant get a chain started

Most often, the problem either has to do with mis-threading or the machine has been knocked out of time. (It took me an entire day to thread my serger correctly the first time.) Start out with no thread in the machine. Follow the instructions "exactly." ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading and be sure EACH thread is threaded in the correct order! Another helpful hint is to give each thread an extra little tug when going from the thread tree to the thread dial. This helps the thread seat completely in the tension disk.

I have a older Janome Machine Model685/687 cant remember how to thread it

Unable to locate anything for your particular model, but something here may be helpful. Remember, machines from the same era tend to thread and operate similarly. Be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the top thread!

I cant remember how to fill the bobbin with thread :(

Insert the empty bobbin case onto the bobbin winder in the sewing machine.

Step 2 Set the spool of thread onto the thread peg. Use the same thread you want to use on your material to obtain the best finished stitch.

Step 3 Follow the arrows or guides to take the thread from the spool to the empty bobbin.
Step 4 Start the thread around the bobbin in a clockwise direction.

Step 5 Push the small lever against the bobbin spool to hold it in place. This disengages the needle so it won't go up and down while winding the bobbin.

Step 6 Press the foot or knee pedal to start the winding process. Stop when you have enough thread on the bobbin for your project.

Step 7
Cut the thread between the thread spool and the bobbin. Insert the bobbin into the bobbin case so you can begin sewing.

Old Elna SU (blue on top with black 'Elna' logo)

You take the thread down the left side of the silver wheel and then gently tug it upwards so that it clicks into the wheel. Then pass the thread through the rear of the thread take up lever(this should be raised), from left to right. Then take the thread down and slip it into the thread guide, down slip into the needle clamp and then thread through the needle from front to back.

Thread is bunching up and I cant remember which knob will releave this problem.

If the thread is looping on the top, then the problem is with the bobbin,, If the thread loops on the bottom, the problem lies in the threading.
