For sure the display unit is faulty. Try to reset, remove the battery and keep aside for 12 hours and reset into the set. If the display does not come bacck there is no other way but to get thedisplay replaced. even identifiaction wont help as the part need to be sourced from Canon. Hence my suggesstion is to call up the service centre close to you and consult for availability & cost to decide on the best possibility.
Hope you try.

Canon EOS Rebel T2 - film loaded, but then wouldn't take a picture, the frame count was flashing on screen. What is the problem?

Hi. Open the camera back and pull the film further over towards the pick up spool, close the back and try again to take a photo, i had the same problem with an eos 650 and it always worked.Good luck.

I was just using my point and shoot S550 when all of a sudden, the photos I am taking produce a blank white screen with some colored vertical lines in parts of the photos. It was working fine a second ago....

I'm having the same problem. The first foto looks alright but the rest is as above. I do'nt have a sollution but i had removed the battery and the memory card and left the camera open in the hope it will be a damp issue. just now i take some new foto's and i still got the stripes but i have a picture. Hope some one will have the right sollution.

I have new nikon d7000 and when i formated the 8gb memory card with the setting on jpeg (fine) it read only 529 photos. this seems more like a 2gb card storage capacity. what to do?

Congrats on buying such a beefy beast of a camera.

If memory serves, jpeg fine is a step under shooting raw. If you need more capacity, use a lower resolution. With your camera, it will still take stunning photos. Assuming that you aren't taking photos that grandma will be able to see without her glasses...across the street, you should be fine with a lower resolution.

Be sure to empty your card onto a hard drive after every shoot, and carry extra cards.

Camera Screen black

Time for a new camera, the cost to have it exchanged by Nikon is near the cost to replace.

LCD mostly white but photos OK after camera dropped

hmmm seems as if the LCD did take a heavy hit there and some connecting parts inside the LCD in the camera is damaged however this shouldnt affect how the camera performs but you can maybe still have the camera serviced at a best buy or other store that fixes cameras
