SOURCE: how do i install Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 on my linux os?
Good luck with that. Ive tried getting my old 4000 to work under various distros. None of them would let me use the internal microphone. I'm not that familiar with the fedora OS, but you may find a few drivers in the update manager, which "may" at least let you use the video part of it. Mine never did work right, as I had NO control over brightness, etc. This is one of the major problems with any Linux distro - hardware compatibility.

Please read THIS article from Logitech regarding this issue. Make sure that 'Canecl Echo' box has been checked in the software under "Audio Settings".
Also make sure that you have the latest QuickCam software - v11.5. You can download it HERE.
Hope that helps!
