My rear projection tv will not display any images on the screen. The unit will power up and I can hear the audio but I can't see any images.

does the tv have a degauss function in the menu

most common reason is convergence problem--unsolder both chips and see if set will power up with them out of the circuit.

Thats the error for having a issue with the +5V which can be caused by either the A board or the B Board with the B board being the most likliest cause.

sony has a circuit than balances the 3 crt's. it needs a screen adjustment which is located in the front of tv behind speaker grill. easy repair

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.

Depends on how much do they want for set repair cost verys anywhere from 250 up to 375.00.Set might only need to realine convergence on customer level.
