Whats the largest replaement HD I can put in my Presario
My 60 gb 4200 hd EIDE died and I have been going back and forth with HP/Compaq to determine what is the largest HD I can install. All they can do is keep referring me to their replace parts web page which has an 80 GB replacement.
Part number: 350212-001 Specification: 60 GB Ultra ATA/100 EIDEhard drive - 4,200 RPM, 2.5-inch form factor, 1.0-inch height
OR
Part number: 350213-001 Specification: 80 GB Ultra ATA/100 EIDE hard drive - 5,400RPM, 2.5-inch form
Which are cost about twice as much as the same drive any where else.
