Just bought the Samsung Galaxy s6 edge yesterday. After I charged the cellphone for the first time and turned it back on there was this straight.
Try to connect an external monitor to the laptop. If the white line is on the external monitor as well then you have a bad video chip in the motherboard, but if the line is gone when using a external monitor then it's the LCD and you should have it replaced.
Unfortunately this is a fault with the screen & the only remedy is to have the screen replaced. If it is still under warrenty then you will be covered for a replacement if not the cost of a new screen can cost almost as much as a new TV.
it looks to me that you are not a technician becouse you are measuring at the wrong places risking a hazard shock if you have a little experience get the service manual and check your power supply and the h v capacitors near the horizontal output if not please take it to your service center
Simply just manualy adjust the bottom of the screen by adjusting the distance by an inch or so.
Depending on what screen you have adjust it from behind or vith a thin thread
We have aKDF-E42A10 for a bout 2 yearsnow and we now have 13 horizonal lines across the screen, they look like small square dotted lines across the entire screen from top to bottom. It be gan acouple of months ago as 2 of these lines that seemed to move up the screen. I called technical support and he made it sound like he never heard of the problem. I am very upset with sony right now. Anybody know how to fix the problem?ricedog
If the lines are thin and close together running horizontally, it may be the vertical driver, but that usually takes out the resistor and sometimes the diode in the B+ for the vert. Also you must replace the caps that caused the problem in the first place.
