TV will not come on. I get a flashing red light instead of the blue light when I try to turn it on. If you could help me I would be very greatful. The TV is only about 5 months old.

So, what else can I tell you. You yourself have discribed that your headset is defective. So, being a new device, return it to be changed for a new one.
Check the circuit boards to see if any have failed. They are small cylindrical objects. If the tops of any of these are bulged instead of flat then they are bad and board will have to be replaced. Hope this helps.
Commonly that trouble is cause of faulty capacitors on power supply board... Please follow this step on how to fix that problem on your own..
Open the back cover of your TV.
Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
After
that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged
on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
After
that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and
soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type
ratings and value..
Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter..
I also have this model. A few months ago, when I turned on the tv, it told me my lamp was in need of replacement. just yesterday, my tv did the same as you....the blue light flashed and then the lamp light kept flickering. All I can say is your lamp needs to be replaced.
I have the same issue with one that blinks 9 times. Any ideas?
