Fan blades or motor in Nucor over the stove hood

Residential GE stove with an exhaust hood & fan above the stove. 18 years old. The fan blades have become bittle over the years and mostly broken. Is there someone who sells a replacement motor or blades (although it appears as if the blades are fixed on the shaft

Actually by going on the Nucor website I was able to find a list of their dealers. Found one about 15 miles away who upon learning the model and serial number of the fan was able to order a replacement fan assembly. Cost me less than $20 and the fan is working like new. Thanks for your suggestion.

The FR Series fans from Fantech are glued closed to prevent air leakage. Its better to replace the fan than to try and fix it. The cheapest place to buy a Fantech fan is at http:///www.hvacquick.com as they buy direct from Fantech.
Alos the FR Series fan comes with a 5 Year Manufactures warranty.

Fan running when door open

measure this test and use the multimeter for fix it. GOD BLESS YOU

  1. Exhaust fan motorIf your exhaust fan motor is not running, there are a couple of things that you can check involving the motor to locate the problem. After removing the fan motor, you can manually attempt to turn the fan blades with your hand. If the fan motor is working properly, the blades should spin effortlessly. If this does not occur and the blades are taught, the motor will need to be replaced. Secondly, the fan motor itself can burn out due to time and usage. Using an ohm meter, the exhaust fan motor should read open for continuity. If it does not, then the fan motor has expired and will need to be replaced.
  2. ThermostatAnother part that could cause the microwave exhaust fan to not work is a faulty thermostat. A thermostat gauges the air temperature, which activates the exhaust fan when required. If this part becomes flawed, the exhaust fan will not energize and the thermostat will need to be replaced.
  3. Main control boardIf your exhaust fan is still not working and the microwave fan motor, wiring, and thermostat are operating accurately, the root cause could be with the main control board. Replace the main control board.

I have a 4 year old RM5200 hood over my stove. The motor is making a whining noise. It seems to soon for this to happen. It is loud and constant to the point where we don't want to use it. Is it time...

Range hood motors, bathroom exhaust fan motors all share the same thing. They become coated with grime inside the shaft of the rmotor due to their exhaust feature of sucking dust and grime over the motor, which is open. The only solution is to get access to the motor and clean the fan blades and squirt a little WD-40 down the shaft as that is where the noise comes from. The dirt and grime build up on the motor shaft, and eventually starts rubbing the bushing where the shaft rest and makes a noise. Yo must remove this from the shaft and allow a little play, and lubrication which the WD-40 will supply.

Dripping kitchen exhaust fans

It sounds like there is a restriction in the vent or the hood is to low. It should be at least 18" above the cooking surface.

GE top freezer refrigerator fan rattles constantly

It is mounted properly, it is probably a bad bearing in the fan motor and/or the blade is loose on the shaft. Replace the motor.

Range master 50000 exhaust fan stopped working

Extremely likely the fan motor.  get to it then , after removing fan blade, plug it in directly to a 110v  outlet ,just for a second to see if it works well( don;t touch it while prefoming this test, only the plug), or jumper out the switch(with electric disconnected) momentairly to see if the fan runs after turning the electric back on.

Blower motor on above stove microwave not running

The dual fan in the back is the vent / exhaust / hood fa. It will run when you turn it on, or if the stove top gets too hot.

The other fan is the magnetron cooling fan, and it will only run when you are cooking. If it is not running, your magnetron can be destroyed.

You can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here. That may help you a lot.
