Very first update for xbox live how do i get it plz help its reckin my head

    If xbox live is set up and connected, any updates should come automatically, prompting for your permission.

    Go to the "Marketplace" tab on your dashboard, its the one on the far left. Select "New Arrivals"...

    If you press your right or left bumpers above the triggers, does it scroll through the different categories? "Games, Movies, Tv shows..." and so on?

If you have a game and your connected xbl it should ask you "You need to download this patch or you will be signed out of xbl" download, if it works dont worrie about the update, if it does download it to. If you realy want it search Spring update in google and burn that file to a disk.

The easiest way to update your console software is to connect to Xbox LIVE. To update your console by using Xbox LIVE, all you need is an Internet connection.

there is no "resetting with the sync button".

You can go to www.xbox.com and log into your live account. In there you can add the pre-paid card to your account. There should be a way to do this on the console as well, but am not sure off the top of my head how to do so.
