My aspire 5351 is running at over 705 apacity with no programmes added and is running at full even when no programmes are meant to be running. The disc drive will not load any disc nor will it play any vidoe clips

the message is a virtual memory message.Too many programmes running at the same time usually.Adding more RAM if possible,closing programmes etc will help.You are probably using W8 which I have found opens programme after programme as you try to access different things,so you will have lots of apps working unseen using memory.This is not about the recycle bin.If you have an icon on the desktop right click on it and choose to empty it.

I can't understand what you meant to say. Whether you mean, your shortcut icon is deleted on the desktop or in the programme list.
As an example if your shortcut "programme" (like Microsoft word) icon is deleted than. Click on Start>Programme>Microsoft Office>In the Microsoft word "Right click" there you will see the pop down menu. In that menu click on "Send to"> choose Desktop (create shortcut)
Else open C:\ "drive">Programme Files>Microsoft office>Office12>find out winword.exe

If both are fairly new then yes they should be.
That laptop comes with vista home basic and the printers website has drivers for xp and Vista, even 64 bit vista. So you should be good to go.

This means that WIndows or whatever OS you have does not know what mother prog to use to run this file. If you know what prog is used to run that file, then right click on the file name and select Open With. You get a dialogue box giving a number of progs that may be used to open that file. If you do not find the prog name in the list then go to browse and locate that prog and select and also mark the box to indicate that in future also you want this prog to open that and similar files.
