Cannot activate dial pad

• Activate by using the telephone You can call an Activation Center and activate your product by talking to a customer service representative over the telephone. Telephone activation might take longer than activation using the Internet. You should be at your computer when you call and have your software product key available. Telephone numbers vary by license and country/region. In step 2 of the Activation Wizard, use the number provided to call the Microsoft Activation Center.
1. In the Activation Wizard, in step 1, select the country/region where you reside and will be using the product.
   When you select a country/region, one or more telephone numbers will appear.
2. In the Activation Wizard, in step 2, the Activation Center customer service representative will ask you to provide your Installation ID and other relevant information.
3. After your Installation ID is verified, as part of step 3, you will receive a Confirmation ID to enter in the spaces provided at the bottom of the screen.

NOTE Microsoft Text Telephone (TT/TTY) services are available for individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. In the United States, using a TT/TTY modem, dial (800) 718-1599. From outside the United States, using a TT/TTY modem, dial (716) 871-6859. TT/TTY service is only available in English.

That must be a hardware problem. Your touch pad need to be replaced with a new one. If your phone still covered with manufacturer warranty, you can have it repair free of charge. But if not, you can bring it to any phone repair shop to fix it.

To
provide sabbath feature (or to cancel this setting):
1. Push the PREHEAT pad and set the oven
temperature to 500°F/260°C or more using the UP
ARROW pad.
2. Push the PREHEAT pad within the next 2 seconds
for 3-4 seconds. A beep sounds and a number
appears in red to the right of the display. For the
conversion, "3" must be displayed. If another number
is displayed, push the PREHEAT pad and select
"3".
3. Push the UP or DOWN ARROW pad to change
from 12 hour to 9999 in the display, for no 12 hour
shut-off.
4. Push the CANCEL pad to confirm your choice.

4-2. User’s Choice Function Setting Procedure
<Setting Procedure>
1. Press the User Mode key on the control panel and then touch the “User’s Choice” key.
2. Select the page number key that contains the desired function from among 1/6 through 6/6 shown YOURS WOULD BE 1/6
at the bottom of the Touch Panel.
3. Select the function to be set and make settings as required.
4. After the settings are complete, touch the “Enter” key to validate the settings.
NOTE:
The function selected is highlighted.
<Exiting the Mode>
Perform any one of the following steps to go back to the Basic screen.

Press the Panel Reset key on the control panel.

Touch “Exit” on the Touch Panel.

Delete a Number/Name Stored in the Directory
1. Press . The screen displays DIRECTORY.
2. Press or to scroll alphabetically through entries stored in directory.
— OR —
Press the dial pad key for the first letter of the entry you want to delete.
3. When the screen displays the entry you want to delete, press select . Then press or until
ERASE flashes.
4. Press select . The screen displays ERASE NO YES and the number. The current choice
flashes.
5. Press until YES flashes.

take this:
1- Press Function
2- Press Down button until menu “Change password” displayed -> ENTER
3- " Current password " : Press this Number "726276642" -> Enter
4- “New password”
5- 0000 ENTER
6- EXIT
7- Press DIAL LOCK KEY

To change it back to an English Menu, press Setup, then click on the Delete button to choose English, continue to the next choice which is Tone or pulse dial, again select Delete to choose Tone, then continue through the rest of the setup. Enjoy!! :)

Try this; Display Camera Menu, Select #6 (OTHER FUNCTIONS) Jog to the last Item on page 2 (HOUR METER) rotate the dial up 3 positions from HM and press the dial. You should now have the choice to Select Language: English or Japanese. Worked for me.

I have done it. I have found a way to chance the speed dial settings on my Samsung D900i.
The following instructions work for my phone but I cannot guarantee they will work for everyone else.
YOU WILL NEED A PEN AND PAPER.
Press Menu > select Phonebook > Speed dial (4) >Select
You should see names assigned to the numbers.
Decide which speed dial number you want to change e.g. 2 Mum Mobile (remember the name)
Press Back > Contact list (1) Select
Type in/go down to that name e.g. Mum Mobile (WRITE DOWN PHONE NUMBER BECAUSE YOU ARE ABOUT TO DELETE IT)
Press Options > Delete (5) > Select > choose Yes > Back > Speed dial (4)
You should now see that Mum Mobile has been replaced with a big number 2. This means that speed dial number 2 is un-assigned.
Press Back > Contact list (1) > Select
Decide who you want to be assigned to speed dial 2 (WRITE DOWN PHONE NUMBER BECAUSE YOU ARE ABOUT TO DELETE IT)
Press Options > Delete (5) > Select > Yes (HERE IS THE WEIRD THING)
Press Back > Create contact (2) > SIM (2) >Select
Type back in the name and number of person you have just deleted > Save > Back > Speed dial (4)
You should see that Speed dial 2 is now the person of your choice.
HOW COOL IS THAT!!!!!!!!!!
Press Back > Create Contact (2) > Select > SIM (2) > Select
Type in Mum Mobile and Number (THE FIRST NUMBER YOU WROTE DOWN) > Save.
That is it, repeat the instructions until you have all the speed dials of your choice.
