Purchased my son a second hand Mazda 626. Its fitted with a Philips Logic Control radio Philips No CW077A or Fujitsu Ten No CE-3434TY1. I obtained all the owners manuals with the vehicle but unfortunately no security code for the radio. Are you able to provide details of what the code might be. I have been advised it may be four numbers from the vehicle vin number but I have no idea which four numbers. I would greatly appreciate any help you could provide. Many thanks Norm Walford

Unless changed cby the owner it should be the last 4 digits of the VIN number which can be read from the label on the driver's door panel. If it has been changed, I'm afraid there is no way to retrieve it unless you can contact the previous owner.

Car hesitating & rpm reving up & down

Most likely, if it's anything like my old Mazda MX-3, the Mazda engines are VERY sensitive to airflow on the intake side. There is possibly a crack in the airbox or intake plenum (sometimes hard to spot if they are in a "bellows" portion), or not latched in place properly or improper airfilter. Give those a look, looking is free, fixing can be pricey, Mazda wants a lot for a little bit of formed plastic, just to warn you.

I need the wiring harness for my fujitsu ten stereo

What is the model # of the Fujitsu Ten Car Stereo. Do you still play cassettes? This would seem to be the reason for wanting to restore the unit - that and nostalgia. Once you have the model number you must do a search like;
Fujitsu Ten A230 harness plug. Also try Best Buy because they do a lot of car stereo installations. I just put my own unit in my Hyundai Tucson and bought my wiring kit from them; however you're going back to the 90's. I have another answer too, so let me know if this works.

91 mazda 626 erractic idle surge when engine is cold

My '91 626 did the same thing. I tested the throttle position sensor, and it was good so that wasn't it. The other likely culprit is the Idle Speed Control valve, or Idle Air Control valve, which is a $500 part new (more than I paid for the whole car). I pulled one off a 626 at the salvage yard and got it for 3 bucks, put it on (it's an easy DIY, just 4 philips screws holding it to the intake manifold), however I can't be sure that solved the problem, since I haven't run the car much since then. It would seem the most likely cause, tho, and a cheap fix if you go used. Other possibilities: O2 sensor or Mass Air Flow sensor?

Mazda 626

Hi Janieanip01,
Again we need more imfo....Is the vehicle injection?....If it is you'll have to wait until the fuel rail is re-pressurised before it will start....Crank it for about ten seconds at a time so as not to burn out the starter motor....It may be that the vehicle didn't run out of fuel but instead the pump may have given in....and when did you last replace the fuel fiter?
