Hook up to your receiver or ampli? your DV has got dscrete audio channel connections, now check first your receiver or amp if it has got that same discrete connections. but the simpliets connectgion is just uise your right/left channels. color red/white audio out of your DV. then connect to your receiver/amp DV input. or your DV should also have an fiber optical out (single link only to your amp) if it has got an option for optical. then connect your DV video out to your TV or through your receiver if it has got a video input function.

To switch your Pioneer DV-400V DVD player back to an interlaced video mode after selecting a progressive scan mode and losing picture, follow these steps:

  1. Switch everything off.
  2. Switch the player to standby.
  3. Press and hold the Standy/ON button while pressing the |<< button.
This resets your Pioneer DVD-400V player HDMI output format to 480p.

I hope that helps.

Player will start then stop and restart no auido and PIP. What gives? I have to hit next to get it to start working right.

If this happens on all disks you throw at it, you should run a lens cleaner disk through your machine. Short of that, you'll have to send it in for service.
