I don't think my fan is working...I don't hear it anymore and it hasn't been blowing out hot air for a few days. It also gets really hot and turns off. Is there a program I can run to restore whatever tells the fan to operate...and if not, where can I get a replacement fan and instructions? Also, my audio is constantly popping. New drivers don't fix. Blowing in the earpiece plug doesn't fix. reverting to previous drivers doesn't fix. hitting the mute/unmute button on my touch bar works like a charm...but is in no way permanent or classy. I think it's Vista? HELP. I paid a LOT for this thing, and it should work!!

I have a 07 camry, its been overheating has water antifreeze in it, im alone and scared to drive it , it overheats when air is on and its not blowing cool air anymore, help please?

On warm or hot day with engine running have someone turn on a/c while you are looking under the hood, you should hear the radiator and condenser coil cooling fans come on if you do not hear them take to shop may just be bad control switch or fan bad.

We have a 05 ford taraus and when you turn on the air you can smell like hot wires and the alternator gets hot what to do

Hear any squeal from the accessory drive belt slipping? Does the fan blow a good stream of air into the cabin ?

Have someone look at the wires near the alternator and heater motor. Should blow a fuse if getting that hot. No check engine light? Have the codes read at Ford or Auto Zone or good shop.

My Icraig Tablet model CMP749 keeps freezing and gets really hot when you leave it on for about two minutes my mom thinks that the fan has stopped working I really want this stupid thing to work

Get a can of compressed air and blow out all the dust caked around the fan. Be sure to have the computer turned off before you do this. It may take several tries.

Epson PowerLite 410W projector (used for a smart board in a classroom) won't project anything or even turn on. Power button (maybe lamp indicator light? I don't really know anything about this...)...

It seems you assume that it is not an overheating problem.
The problem is, the bulb gets really, really hot when using the projector. It doesn't matter whether it has been there without any usage. As you switch it on, it will start to get hot.
But the lamp or other parts of the projector should not get too hot. To control the temperature, air is moved through the projector with the help of fans. Air enters through air filters and move through the projector absorbing heat from hot parts. This prevents these parts from getting overheated.
But what if air doesn't flow freely? Then the parts CAN get overheated.
First, switch on the projector and check whether you can hear the fans working.
Next, switch off the projector and remove power cable.
After about 30 minutes, remove the cover and check whether the air filters are blocked. If they are, clean them with a small brush.
This would probably solve your problem.

My sony vaio VGN-AW41ZF keeps turning off by itself. It doesnt shut down, just cuts off as if there is no power but the battery is fully charged and plugged in. Could this be an overheating problem?

I have a Sony VAIO GRS170/GRS175 in use almost every day since 2003. It used to turn off regularly during hot summer days even with its battery fully charged and plugged in. The problem was eliminated by using a small fan to blow air at its side where the air intake was located. Later, the fan was replaced with a notebook cooling pad which was more convenient. You could first try using a fan to see if it makes any difference. If you don't get anymore shut downs, then the problem is definitely due to overheating. You could then replace the fan with a notebook cooling pad.

My laptop gets so hot ; and the cooling fan blows out really hot air.

Well I can tell you that in my experience they get real hot too hot in my opinion, however, these days the laptops seem to emit an enormous amount of heat, but it seems to do NO harm, If you are worried get yourself a laptop Cooling Pad, they are cheap, they work, and will keep your unit cooler.

Which way should the fan turn for winter use?

Although there are those who would say otherwise, it really doesn't matter much which way the fan turns regarding summer or winter. It does matter regarding whether you want air blown directly down upon you or sucked up past you toward the ceiling. Some would say that the fan should blow down in the winter, since hot air rises and the fan would blow it back down, but if you think about it, if the fan is blowing air toward the ceiling, the hot air up there has to go somewhere, like down when it reaches the walls. It is, once again, really a matter of what makes you comfortable in summer or winter.
Hope this helps.

Gas Furnace is not heating anymore.

the fan you hear come on at a call for heat is most likely just the inducer motor. the click you hear is probably the relay for the hot surface ignitor which should glow red, then in turn ignite the main burners. your going to have to determine if the ignitor is coming on. if it isnt the ignitor is bad and will need to be replaced. if it comes on and than shuts off after a few seconds the ifc board is probably at fault
