Theres no sound and video nic drivers in pc disctop

You can purchase any nic card which is compatible with WinXP or 7.

Insert the card in PC Slot of the motherboard.

Install the driver for the card and it will work.

fastest way to tell is for you to take the side panal of and look at the motherboard the make and model are printed on all boards the main manufacture is dell

due to the numerous manufacturers of nics (network interface cards) there is no generic driver.
1. Verify the make and model of your nic.
2. Go out to Google.com
3. Type "Nic manufacturer name and model number" driver download then click search
4. select one of the many responses and download your driver

what operating system are you using? also, what nic card is installed and what graphics are installed?

I have this exact same mobotherboard. Did you install the chipset drivers? You need to download and install the nforce3 chipset driver. It includes the nic driver and all other things you're probably missing besides video and sound.

I should tell you that my onboard NIC had problems on this motherboard. Sometimes it would lose connection, sometimes it would make my pc take 5 minutes to boot up when the cable was plugged in or just crash my computer.

I just use a PCI nic now. But you'll want to install that driver anyway. If you use a PCI nic, then go to Control Panel, Network Connections and right click the nforce nic and click Disable.

you must have the incorrect driver installed, could you send me the brand and model of your computer.

also look into msinfo32 and provide me with the device PNP ID
start -> run -> typein: msinfo32 -> open components -> open Problem devices.

Send me the details, device name, pnp id and error if there is one.

Check for the pins inside the integrated NIC to check if the pins are bent / disfigured. Does not look like the additional card is making any different, looks more like a moving NIC cable is makin the difference.

I think if you download the motherboard chipset driver utility from the VAIO download page for this model:

It will include the NIC 1394 and video controller driver.
