Can't get my Dish Network controller for the basement tv to work. There is no cable box for the basement tv. The controller did, however, work until my daughter had a sleepover about a month ago. Suggestions?? Please!

You are receiving IR interference from the fluorescent bulb in your tv heating up.
The best resolution would be to contact dish to confirm if your remote can be switched to UHF or if can get one that will.

You may also try repositioning your box slightly as long as it doesn't require un hooked the cables.

There is no setup codes for Vizio TV with Dish Remote control.

In order to best assist you I will need a little more information. Have you tried checking the cables running from the receiver to the TV? Are there any devices connected between the receiver and your TV? Also what type cables are connecting the receiver to the television?

Hi Mary with Dish Network Customer Service. Are you getting an error message? One of the easiest fixes for signal issues is to reset the receiver box (Unplug the power cord for 10 seconds, then let it reboot). You might want to check all the cable connections from where the Satellite comes into the room and up to the receiver box. Hello, you will probably will just need to try to program your remote to your tv. You can follow the steps to get this working. This may have been resolved, but you can do this in the future, or if you have any questions. I hope this helps. You will want to follow steps 6 and beyond.

Tries unplug,replug the DVR box an hour later.The box should reset itself and update it software.The box should work normal again.Not,call Dish Network to replaced the box,have intermittent problems.

Reboot the box to get new software,reconnected the box,not the tv u get a word bounce around said no signal right?

Without knowing the actual ports on each of these devices, all I can suggest is that have you tried connecting your DVD to the Dish box (thru VCR scart connection at the back of the Dish box) and then the Dish box into your modulator (and then modulator into your tv.

I have a similar system set up but we have a Sky Digital box here, no idea if its the same as a Dish box but im assuming so.
