Hi Hermann,

with the indulgence of the others...

To my knowledge, Error 0xc18a0307 is a proprietary message from HP indicating:
1. end of life (the machine has printed X thousand of pages and has reached it maximum projected usefulness); and/or
2. a replacement/refilled ink cartridge has been used instead of a new original and the system has halted.

Perhaps your best bet would be as Ekse has posted or sorry to suggest, a replacement unit.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Hello from finland

If these solutions given before me aren't any use.
Then I would recommend takeing the printer in for repairs, it sounds like a more serious error instead of a simple fault which fixes itself with a reset.

I don't speak german but have a look around here
http://welcome.hp-ww.com/country/de/de/welcome.html

look for the support contact details give them a call they can direct you to a local service center / tech to get it fixed.

Use the instructions below to resolve the issue by restarting the product.

  1. Disconnect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable from the back of the product, but leave the product turned on.
  2. Open the cover of the product and remove the print cartridges.
  3. Close the cover and wait for the Insert Ink Cartridges message to display.
  4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product and wait for one minute.
  5. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button.
  6. Open the cover and reinsert the print cartridges.
  7. Close the cover. If prompted, print a calibration page.
  8. Reconnect the USB cable, and try to print a print job from the computer.

Where are you getting the message from the computer or from the printer? pls do a self test and if self test works, trash and reinstall the driver:

selftest- just copy something using the copy option
