Kenmore 795.755744 I have a Kenmore trio and ice is building up on the bottom of the freezer floor underneath the bin. I've been told to empty the entire unit, unplug it and wait for the water line to drain as it's probably frozen over. Is this correct and is there any way I can check from the inside of the freezer? I can't get behind it as the water line is almost fully extended from the wall. Thanks!

Problem started two monts ago - water puddling and freezing on bottom of freezer. I replaced the entire ice making unit (adjusta cube - sears out sources their parts). The water still pooled at bottom. I removed the back panel inside freezer and saw the drip tray under the coil was frozen and caked up with ice. I removed the panel on the rear /bottom of the refridgerator and found the drain hose next to the water solenoid/pump. I blew compressed air into it and hopefully solved the problem (if in fact it was blocked)

I have a trio 7755 and had this problem within 6 months of ownership. It was the valves that fill the ice trays not completely closing when tray is filled (continued to drip--building up an ice block on the back wall and in the ice tray. I replaced the set of valves in the lower right (when looking at the back of the fridge). Problem solved, has worked perfectly since.
