I may have a solution for you. I had the same kind of problems when I upgraded the NS840 Security Blackbox Main Program from 2.0.0 to 3.0.1. From reading in other places I really don't think the 3.0.1 software works at all as far as being able to connect to your system remotely. Something about the engineers sabotaging the software before they went out of business. Luckily I still have the 2.0.0 software that I downloaded last year. So I uninstalled the 3.0.1 and installed the old 2.0.0 and guess what? It works as advertised! You'll need to download and unzip the program installation file here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/389704/ns840_2.0.0_setup.rar

HOW DO YOU OPEN CD TRAY

We'll if the cd tray fails to open either by the remote or by the eject button on front fascia...try looking for a small pinhole underneath the cd tray.this is a manual release port which allows you to push a sewing needle or fine paper clip.this should release the tray mechanism.sometimes the tray jumps a cog during transportation from one place to another or the cd does not seat into the tray properly and prevents normal ejection.hope this is helpful.

Can i forward port on router from a laptop that is connected wireless? I can see the port is fowarded from router settings but i cant get the port open. I want to view my cameras remotely

If you are checking to see if your port is open at canyouseeme.org something must first be listening on the port before you see SUCCESS

Try using port listener to hold it open. http://www.rjlsoftware.com/software/utility/portlistener/

if no success check out this guide I put together:

I have just installed my Uniden UDW20553 Video Surveillance System. I was under the impression that I would have remote access to view my cameras from anywhere in the world on my laptop. Have looked high...

The only solution I have found is using Remote Desktop Connection and running the Uniden application. On my Iphone I found that using Pocket Cloud Remote Desktop (RDP Itunes download application) works best. You must also download a free application named "Pocket Cloud Companion" on the PC your Uniden software is running. Pocket Cloud Companion must be running for connection to made through 3G, Edge or Wifi networks. Also, you have to configure your remote connections by using your PC's IP address rather then the name of your pc, particularly if making connection on 3G network.

Can't view IP cam externally

Follow The Process:-
1.Visit https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports
input the port 5000 and check is it open or not, if it is not open it means you need to check port forwarding in your main internet router/modem.
2. By Default Routers/Modems Http port it 80. so you need to change ip camera http port 80 to 81 and do port forwarding and to view on android devices check another ports in ip camera network settings. so same port forwarding and check in yougetsignal website.

Tray wont open

Power your unit off using the button. when it's off unplug the power source from the back of the XBOX and leave it out for 30 sec. Reconnect the power source and reboot your machine. Try the disc tray again. If it doesn't work try giving it a tap or a solid knock on the top of the case above the disc tray while it's trying to open. Don't drop the machine or try to pry the tray open. If it doesn't open when you tap it then try light pressure on the front of the tray while it's trying to open. (you can tell it's trying to open because the disc status on the screen will say opening...)

Now if the above did not work
Get a straightened paper clip.
Remove the faceplate carefully starting from the indention that you will see on the side
After removing the faceplate, look for a pinhole just below the disc tray.
*There are two pinholes just below the cover of the disc tray and one pinhole below the X and B of XBOX logo.
*You can try any of the three holes
*Pinholes are so small that the girth of the paper clip is the only object that can fit through the pinhole.

Now insert the paper clip into the pinhole then put a little pressure until the disc opens.

If it opens try to close it, if it closes try opening it again, if it wont open the second time then it need to be serviced
If it opens try to close it, if it wont close try nudging the disc to the right and then to the left, if nudging doesnt then it need service
If it wont open after trying all three pinholes - its needs service

It may be jammed or the drive gear stripped.

How to connect to remote camera

To create new Camera Window
  • Click New Camera from the File menu.
  • Camera Setting dialog box appears.
Camera Setting dialog box

Camera Setting dialog box helps you control selected video source. To open the Camera Settings dialog box, select Camera Settings from the File menu.

Set a preview rate in the Preview Frame Rate box. It indicates the number of frames per second in the camera window. The default value is 10 frames per second. This value doesn't interfere with broadcast or record frame rate.

Remote Cameras
Remote camera is another Active WebCam program with enabled Remote Access launched on remote computer. Both programs use UDP protocol to communicate each other. If connection with Remote camera goes through firewall, make sure that the IP address of your computer, local and remote ports are opened on the firewall, and the UDP protocol is enabled.

To connect to Remote Camera
In the Device tab click to select Remote Camera.

Specify the computer address in the IP address box. Don't place the protocol prefix (like http://) in the address, just four digits of IP address delimited by dots, like: 192.168.1.101. You can find out the remote computer IP address by clicking Get Computer IP Address from the Tools menu on the remote computer.

Type port, which is opened on remote computer for remote access in the Remote Port box. This value is specified in the Port box in the Broadcasting | Remote Access properties on the remote computer.

Specify port, which will be used to receive data from remote camera, in the Local Port box. If your network uses firewall, make sure that Local Port and computer's IP address are opened in the firewall. Use the Check the Port Availability button to make sure that this port is not used by another program.

If the remote computer requires authorization, enter user name and password in the appropriate boxes. The authorization could be set in the Broadcasting tab in the Camera Settings window in the Remote Access Additional Settings window on the remote computer.
If the Remember Password check box is checked, the user name and password will be saved among the session parameters.

Cycle through cameras
If you have multiple cameras you can set up a cycler to have the program to change cameras automatically.

To configure the Camera Cycler:
  • Click Camera Settings from the File menu.
  • Select Cycle through cameras to activate cycler.
  • Type cycler interval in seconds.
Select cameras to cycle.

Cctv remote view/ adtran total access 900e

It's not likely that VZ gave you dynamic IP's, but it's possible. You should have been given more than one. If not, it's better to get more and a set of configuration instructions. In the last one I set up, we put a 5-port switch on the ethernet port coming off the Adtran, then fed 2 routers and a security system from the switch. Our gateway was one number lower than the bank of IP's we had, and we just gave each piece of equipment a static ip address and gateway to the gateway :-)
