Hi. I have problem with Fujitsu Siemens P19-2. When I turn the Pc the LCD stey black, but the led indicate the it goes on, back light is on too. But lcd is still black (use DVI). When i plug laptop on VGA it is same. After I open the lcd it stars work. In past it sometimes happend but after swith on of PC it goes on. Now it stey black util i open it. Have you anybody heard about it, pls? Sorry for my bad english. .

Monitor ia having a problem with Voltage filtration... Replace the electrolitic capacitors at secondary side of power board, There are 2 voltages, 12 V and 5V...each of them has few electrolitic capacitors in line, replace them, watch the polarity and all works...Cause of eletrolitic capacitors on secondary side may be the one little capacitor in the primary side, becarefull there is some high voltage out there

Sorry to hear you are having problems. The very fact you tried an external monitor shows you have some good IT skills. As long as you know this monitor works it is a good test. As you have no image try toggling the video output signal by using Fn (Function) and the CRD/LCD (Cathode Ray Tube/Liquid Crystal Display) keys or Alt (Alternate) and the CRD/LCD keys.


If this does not workthen it is either
1. Laptop on board graphics failure
2. Laptop LCD panel failure
3. Laptop inverter failure
4. Laptop backlight failure
Turn on your laptop and look closely at the screen, can you see what you would normally see but very very dark? If so it is the backlight. If you cannot see anything, which is likely, then it is the inverter, actual panle failure or grahipcs chips on the motherboard.

It is most cost effective to send or take the laptop in for repair. You can replace inverters yourself but there is guarantee it is that. If the graphics on the motherboard has failed then all you can do is have the motherboard replaced. If the laptop is slow and old it may be time to consider a new laptop. If the laptop is under warranty, goto the Fujitsu Siemens website and log a under warranty repair.

Try connecting each monitor to a different desktop/laptop computer, to rule-out the possibility that the video-card on your own computer is the cause of the problem.

No that not normal.
Turn the laptop off and remove the AC power and then the battery. Plug in AC power only and start the laptop, let it boot into the operating system and then turn it back off.
Remove AC power and reinsert the battery, then plug in AC power again and look for the charge indicator LED light on the front of the laptop.
If the light comes on then it's charging.
If it doesn't then there is a problem with the laptop.
I would recommend giving Fujitsu a call as their customer service is excellent.

Hi if you had not used your notebook for sometime and kept it without charging the batt., then charge the batt fully probably for 12 or 14 hours and then switch it on .
