I have a kalimar tripod pro-tech v-40 and I lost the quick release plate that connects to the camera. Where can I buy this part?

Presumably you mean the quick release plate. Have a look on Ebay, or try the rummage box at your local friendly camera dealer.

I have the same issue as Mike, above - same tripod, lost the platform for the camera. Anyone have a spare camera platform for this particular tripod they can sell?

If you have lost the screw no problem. Take the camera with you and go to you r local hardware store and fit it with a new bolt or srew.. It will be a standered size and thread. I loose this part all of the time
