You can download the software/driver for your 6210 OfficeJet from HERE
. Just choose the correct OS and download. BTW, the Director Software comes bundled along with the drivers.
Also, if you have IE7, that could be a problem. Try uninstalling IE 7 and run say IE 6 or use Firefox instead. HP Director Software is not compatible with IE7. However, HP has a patch available I think. You can download it HERE.
Should you still have difficulty opening Director Software, here's another solution I found on the web. I quote:"After double-clicking on the HP Director icon, nothing appears to happen... the program is starting normally, but it’s hiding.
Wait a few seconds, then hold down the ALT key and press the space bar. A small dialogue box will appear.
Click on Minimize (you may have to click twice)
the HP Director task will appear in the task bar at the bottom of the
screen - click it, and the program will appear and work normally."
If your printer is not 6210, please post back the correct model, and I will provide you the required link(s).
