I have a GE side-by-side refridge Model BB TPX 24BRY. Water is dripping on the floor on underneath the right side of the unit. Manual says the freezer drain is clogged, but doesn't locate the drain. The freezer is on the left side of the unit. I pulled the unit out from the wall but no apparent leaks in ice maker lines or anything viewable behind the access panel on rear of unit. Any ideas? This sounds like the float mechanism has gone bad. Remove it and have a look. It may be the float or the switch on it that is bad. There is also a solenoid valve. Parts kits are available. Shut off the water first!

check for levelness of the ice maker also make sure that the fill tube is inserted all the way into the unit

Hi, Is it bypassing the drain or is the drain plugged? The most common is that the drain hole gets iced up and them overflows onto the floor.
Just wanting clarifcation.

I had the same problem. The drain tube is located below the pan below the fins at the rear of your freezer. The drain tube has a trap (s-shaped curve) to prevent air flow out of the freezer. The problem is that water gets in this tube and freezes. I took the sheet metal cover off the back, got a turkey baster and flexible tube, and continuously flushed hot water (after the freezer had been turned off around an hour to thaw). Eventually the plug gave way.

Clean the drain pan and drain line in the back of the freezer section behind the cover underneath the evaporator coil. (hint: use turkey baster with hot water) Make sure water drains when you pour it in. If it doesn't - also clean drain tube on the back of the unit behind the cover. When done - put the tube exactly where it was.
