Mcdevito75 here, This is a piece of plastic is used betwen the battery and the back cover of the watch as without the plastic there is a small gap between the battery and the back cover, meaning the battery could come loose in the watch even with the back cover on the watch, replace this plastic piece with some carefully folded Scotch Tape, cut and shape the Scotch tape to Approx. the same size and thicknesss of this piece of plastic or just by sight thick enough to keep the battery in place in the watch with the back cover on.

How do I change the battery in my Casio F-105

When I didn't see an answer, I tried it anyway since I already had the battery and little to lose. Undo the 4 small screws holding the back on (careful - don't drop them). Be careful to keep the small rubber gasket around the edge in its grooves. Do not take the workings out of the watch. There is a small silver arm running across the back over to a cream colored plastic piece with 3 grooves in it. Pieces of the arm are in the outer 2 grooves. Use something small to pry open the arm using the middle groove . Peel it back just a little and replace the battery. The watch should now be working. Snap the arm back in place, be sure the gasket is in place, put the back on,
and screw in the screws. Simple when it works.

I opened the package and dont know how to turn it on!

mcdevito75 Here, It must be a Quartz watch, look for a very small piece of plastic just under the stem, remove that piece of plastic, push the stem down and your watch should start. OR!! look on the back cover of your watch, carefully, if you see a plastic tab comming out of the back cover, remove by pulling carefully on that plastic tab, this plastic tab is keeping the battery from grounding, thus saveing battery power but also not letting your watch run. Simply reove this tab by carefully pulling on it.

New watch - how to start it - battery?

mcdevito75 here, Brand new watch. If it has a stem, (winder) look for a small piece of plastic between the stem and case, remove this piece of plastic and push down the stem to start your watch. If your watch is all buttons, look for a small plastic tab on the back cover, remove this plastic tab and your watch will start.

How do I change the battery/ies for the watch? The red light still functions, but the timepiece does not.

I took a clip watch to the Mall today and had the battery replaced at the Dakota Kiosk. It cost $10. They used a tiny knife to pry off the back. I was trying to use a screwdriver and that didn't work.

Hello, I just bought a Timex Acqua with Indiglo

Depending on when you bought your Timex, you shouldn"t need a battery just yet, your Timex came with a good battery. Look under the stem (winder) for a small piece of plastic that is not allowing the stem to go all the way down, remove that piece of plastic and push the stem down and your Timex will start. Or if your Timex has buttons, look for a tab of plastic on the back cover, this tab of plastic is keeping the battery from (ground) a complete circuit remove this tab of plastic to start your Timex. Changeing the battery while fairly easy, you"d need jewelers screwdrivers and of course the new battery, Best Bet, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for the battery change.

The plastic piece that holds the battery in place on mr Festina watch is broken, can I order a new piece?

I would contact Festina at the following:

[email protected]

They probably can send you a new piece but I would email them and ask them. You might check first with a local watchmaker also. Best regards.

Changed battery .A square piece of metal the size of match head fell out. No alarm or light, casio forester FT200

mcdevito75 here, Of couse without the watch and piece of metal that fell out it"s very hard to say. Most likely it was part of the lock-down tab to keep the battery in place, in any event don"t lose that piece of metal. If your casio is working ok don"t worry about it, just don"t lose that piece of metal that fell out.

My watch is not working and it is brand new. do

Look very carefully just under the crown (winder knob) for a piece of plastic used to keep the stem from being all the way down to start the watch. Remove that small piece of plastic, press down the crown and the watch should start. mcdevito75
