Problem with power

My V2000 (about 2 years old) has recently started having problem with power and net work card. When i switch to battery it does not show the power meter.Even in control panel power options. when i click the power meter tab it goes"not responding".
Also my network card is not working properly, When I plug in the network cable , windows shows that it's connecting then in next second it states that the network cable is unplugged. this happens continuously.
Windows XP did not function well also. Had problems with shutting down and restarting, Some times it takes a very long time to shut down and also at the boot up.

First i tried reinstalling windows xp thinking it was a software problem, But found it difficult to reinstall, severall times it did not installed properly the same problems appear when restarting during the installation.

(before about one year back i also found a problem with my modem. When using AC power my dial up internet connection was very slow. but when i switched to battery the internet connection speeds up. I can clearly see the data download rate drops as I turn back the AC power, I didn't bother to fix this problem as i started using an ADSL connection )

no i dont here any strange noises in hard disk but i also found another problem that is after i shut down windows after few hours still the area where the hard disk is hot. and If I switch off the AC power Still it seems to work with the battery. Untill the battery is full dead (that is when i press the power button the light indicates flashing). i think for some reason hard drive keeps working even after i shut down using windows. So now when i shut it down I not only switch off the AC power but also remove the battery.

Compaq Presario V2000 seems to have intermittent problems with its power supply . In any case check out to see if there are any strange noises from your harddisk which you can hear if put your ear close to the laptop after switching it on .

Casio QV-R40 system error 0e01

This may not do anything, and you may have already thought of this, but here goes...

1. Take out the SD card if you have one in the camera.

2. Remove the batteries and leave them out for 24 hours. Put in GOOD batteries and DO NOT PUT THE SD CARD BACK IN THE CAMERA.

3. Power up the camera. See what happens.
If you face the same problem then you have to reinstall the fireware from service center. Thanks.

I have an APC XS1300. One year old. Very few

Mines, two or three years old and doing the exact same thing, you ever figure out what happen or how to fix it? I took the battery out and it reads 16 volts. I put a 2 amp load (fan) on it and it pulls fine, so I'm reluctant to buy a new battery pack for it now.

Memory Card Errors with Canon PowerShot S3

There most definitely is a solution to this problem. Follow this link for a step by step fix for the memory card error. It requires taking the camera apart but if the warranty is expired you have nothing to lose. Fix worked fine for me.
