Need Help My IPOD was not power up for some while. At the time I turned on, the battery power was 1/4. As I played MP3, the set got soundless. The screen turns dark with the messages " No battery powe remains. Please power immediately". After charging with the IPOD charger for the whole night. Found still the dark screen with the message. The next 4 hrs charging with USB. Unit still problem after trying to reset the unit. Now, the screen shows only white background light with hissing sound and intermittently turn off when reset it. Unit is unstable and unreliable. Please assist me with the above situation.

Press the middle key and menu key at the same time until the apple screen comes on. This will reset your settings but usually when my iPod does something funky like that I just do that and it's fine. If that doesn't work, contact your local Apple store.

<p>Apple iPod touch is a personal audio player with the ability to store and play MP3 files, digital video and downloadable games and applications. The unit is powered by a rechargeable battery. I want to reset my ipod because it is not responding

alandtonipea:

From the Apple support web site article HT1320 (click here):

1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons simultaneously until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.

If you are still unable to reset your iPod, use only one finger from one hand to press the Center (Select) button, and one finger from the other hand to press the Menu button.

When you reset iPod all your music and files are saved, but some customized settings may be lost. Date and time are preserved (unless the iPod reset itself because it had no power and then was reconnected to power). Other customized settings, such as Bookmarks, On-The-Go Playlists, Shuffle, Backlight timer, and so forth are preserved from the last time the hard drive turned on.

Ipod nano 8gb Mp3

Hi there,

It might be possible the you left your iPod playing overnight when you stopped using it. The batteries might be drained already and will need some time in the dock for it to be charged for the batteries to warm up and start charging again. Please ensure that the connections are not loose also.

IPOD mini won't play purchased music unless 100% charged

I've called Apple support on this before. They told me to make sure that the Ipod is set for Manually manage music in the Ipod settings of ITunes. You should restore all software in your IPod to factory settings before doing this.

Try upgrading the firmware of the player. If it still discharges quickly it may be the battery contact POP and have the battery replaced.
