The battery located at the front bottom of the bike.
Remove TORX screws from the right side and bottom cover (as if riding)
Move the cover aside to locate the battery
Remove two slot screws holding the battery
Replace with original,or alarm type battery (use plastic ties to secure)

This is completely and utterly wrong - so wrong that it should be removed. The battery is accessed through a panel on the BOTTOM rear of the exercise bike. It is the only metal panel visible on the bottom, secured by 4 x 1/4" hex bolts.Special thanks to Jack Reichman who just wasted a half hour of my time following his misguided instructions.

This is where we finally found our battery. Not behind the screen, not under the back end, we had to take the whole right side panel and pedal to get to it. Seems like they changed the model but have kept the same model number for years.

SOURCE: hello my lifecycle 9500hr doesn't work

Clean your battery terminals with rubbing alcohol then if it still doesn't work buy new a new battery. It may be running low.

SOURCE: the Lifecycle 9500HR does not

I have the same issue. Can someone tell me where the battery is located? Is it in the control panel or in the base? Are replacements easy to find?

How do I can replace console batteries

Hi Abraham.

What I'm finding in the way of manuals isn't more specific than that the system uses 2 'D' size batteries, which should last about 800 hours. A review here
Lifecycle GX Review Spin Bike Reviews Indoors Fitness (about 2/3 way down the page) mentions that the batteries are in the console and easy to replace. I'd look for a battery door, likely secured with a small phillips head screw, and large enough to accommodate D Cells. It also mentions that there is a low-battery warning at the top of the console.

Hoping this narrows it down for you.

I have a lifecycle model 9500HR, will not turn on.

Some of these units have the main battery ( 6v @ 2.5AH ) inside the bike frame and a 9v in the backside of the upper console

I was told that my lifecycle 9500hr wasnt turning on because of the alternator. I replaced that and the display still wont turn on...any ideas of how to fix this????

You were probably steered wrong. I would expect the battery is the problem.

Use a voltmeter to check voltages.

If the battery is fully down, the alternator MAY have to have the field "flashed" to start generating.

In an automobile the current throu the alternator "idiot light" DOES THIS AUTOMATICALLY.but for your lifecycle I don't know how they do that unless the alternator uses permanent magnets.
