Question about Hitachi DZ-MV230A DVD Camcorder

Hitachi mini dvd cam will not eject disc, will not read, will not write, will not record. Also cannot read mini disc on Windows Vista, is there a driver for either of these issues?

This has happened to me many times. The disk has an error (they alway do).

1: Turn it off.
2: Attatch power connection.
3: Hold down eject button.
4: It should say: "DISK ACCESS"
5: It may take a long time, but put it down in this state and leave it for as long as it may take.
6: Later on, it will eject the disk.
7: Discard of this disk, it's nothing but trouble.

try to find a rewritable media that is compatible with your player, like it can read recorded dvd disc . some dvd plyer dont have capable of reading photo cd, recorded disc, burned disc etc. maybe your player is the one like that.

Mac mini superdrive ejects discs

I think the answer is in your question. Pioneer DVD-RW drive, DVD+R disc.
For some reason known only to Apple, some drives do not work with all discs. Mine will not burn -R dual Layer discs.

Ihave a DVD cam hitachi DZ-MV730A and I don't have the software for convert mini DVD to regular DVD what can I do?
The software is built into the camera. Go to disc navigation then once thumbnails are created press menu, scroll down to the disc icon, select finalize and confirm yes or no. The mini disc is now playable in most DVD machines.

Playing back footage on pc
don't know u're cam, but usualy the camera haz to "close" the dvd sesion, so that the computer/dvd player .... to be able to play it ...

Ofecourse u can play the video on PC, using cd/dvd data recovery software, that accesses the data directly and not track based ... (that in the case that the dvd got damaged and the recorder can't finish it ...)

Cant open up cassette
There are positions on the rotary switch that determine whether you're on the hard-drive or the mini-DVD functions. There's even a small switch (to the lower left of the rotary dial) that keeps you from accidentally switching to the DVD functions.

Make sure you're dial is all the way to the left and reads "DVD". Once you're set on that, the disc eject button should work.

Playing back footage on pc
mini DVs sometimes can't be access using usb interface, try to look if u have a firewire interface, be sure your laptop supports IEEE1394. power dvd is the best player for dvd files. -r means recordable, not rewritable (rw). if ur not familiar with video editing, you may not be able to burn it to disc, but you can play and watch everytime.

Sony CCD-V8AF-E Video Camera Good Afternoon, I have a very old CCD-V8AF-E camera and a number of tapes with family movies recorded on them. I want to copy the movies onto a more permanent medium on my computer and to DVD's. The camera has not been used for many years and now when I tried to do the copying, I discovered that the cassette holder will not open when the eject button is pushed. The light above the eject button comes on solid yellow in colour and after a few seconds begins blinking and the cassette holder does not open. There is no tape currently in the camera. I would appreciate it if there is anyone who can give me any ideas on how I can get the cassette holder open. Thanks in advance David Rae.
