I bought several used mitel superset 4025 phones. When I try to plug them in (we have two phone lines in one jack), the display flashes "waiting for sync" and the lights on the phone flash (in succession down the left side, then the right). I don't know any passwords to this and the online manual says nothing about it. When I plugged in more than one at the office, there were two lights on the left and two lights on the right that flashed simultaneously. Is there a reset button? Can you help me?

The Superset 4025 is a digital set that is intended to work with a Mitel telephone system. The port must be programmed and connected to a jack to allow the phone to work. The phone is not intended to be used as a home telephone.

You bought the wrong phone Lindsay. This is a system phone and only talks to the System Control Network Box. It won't work as a standalone phone. The system box is the equivalent of a company switchboard operator.

My corded super set 4025 is flashing all lights and says " BOOT 9.3 MAIN 9.4 (c) MITEL 1999. what do I do ?
Your phone has lost communications with the main controller (back room equipment) and is trying to reestablish the communications link and boot up. Try unplugging the phone (line cord) and then plugging it back in. If that doesn't fix it then either the phone is defective or the circuit going from your desk back to the phone equipment room is bad, or the phone has been deprogrammed from the system database. it's because the operator set a message to your phone. You need to leave the handset on the cradle and push the message button. Read the display and follow the prompts. You should be able to clear the message.

I have a Mitel Superset Phone 4025 and the display screen says Messages Phonebook and there are no messages.
That just means there is a call me back message. If you push messages and clear the ones you have then the light will stop blinking.

4025 wont work....
You cannot change models like that without changing the configuration for that extension in the phone switch. If it's configured as a SS4015, then you can plug any other SS4015 into the jack. If you want to change it to a SS4025, then you need to reconfigure the extension in the switch.

Super set 4025 wont work
1) The phone cannot communicate with the switch. 2) Make sure your connections are good at both the jack that you plug the phone into and the block or connection coming from the Mitel switch. What Mitel Switch do you have?
