Envelope prints the wrong way

I use a pixma ip4000. I am trying to print a #10 envelope but I can't get the printer to rotate the image so it prints correctly onto the envelope (which I have to feed short end first because it's too long to fit in the printer) The printer has an option for this size envelope, but I just can't figure out how to rotate it.

Thanks!

Yes, it's printing perpendicular. Switching between portrait and landscape is not working, that's what's puzzling me. I've tried every setting I can find on the dialogue and the same thing every time.

Are you saying its printing Perpendicular to the envelope instead of parallel?

This may be a very inconvenient solution but if your desperate then try it. The label you are trying to print : Take a snapshot of it using the print screen button on your keyboard and then paste it into paint. Cut out everything except the label then use the page setup feature in paint to make sure its in the right spot. Dont forget to choose envelope in the page setup and in the printer settings.

Just choose "landscape' from the printer properties instead of the default 'portrait'. Now adjust the margins, etc so that you can position the text exactly whre you want it

PS. Dont forget to rate this Fixya if the solution worked!

Choose 'Landscape' orientation, and under Paper tab, select Envelope#10 as the paper size. Now put the envelope in narrow end first, with the flap facing upwards and on the left side.

Kindly close this thread with a Fixya rating if the issue is resolved. Thank you.
