I just got my new game Prison Tycoon 3, but it will not run the game. It keeps on saying that there was no d3dx9_25.dll found. what do i do? please help me, i`m new to all of this. thank you.

It could just be that the graphics set in your PC is just not capable of producing the resolutions/operations required for the game as they are set or you maybe need an updated graphics driver. Try reducing the resolution settings in the game(s) if you can. Also make sure that the resoulution screen setting is correct for the size of screen and that you dont have any strange modes set up like trying to output to 2 screens etc.

just download direct x 9 it will help

From what I can tell this link should solve your issue which is a missing .dll file required for direct x to initialize.

You can download that DLL from here.

Simply download and extract the DLL to your 'C:\windows\system\'

Hopefully thats all it needed to run, in many cases that one file is just the tip of the ice burg.

Go to http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_25 to download the file you need. After downloading, move the file to the following location on your system: C:\WINDOWS\system32

If this doesn't work, go to http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US/aboutgfw/Pages/directx10-a.aspx to download and install a new copy of DirectX.

Try deleting Prison tycoon. Get CCleaner.com to remove all aspects of the game and reinstall. This sould fix the problem, I had the same problem w/ Rollercoaster Tycoon.

make sure you have the current version of Direct X installed, check the system requirments and be sure your system can handle the game.

I did a little reseacrh and its a file thats on the disk that should be copied when the game is installed, are you using a burned copy or the original?

Its a registry file thats not getting copied right, thats bassically it.


try this out, download it, scan for viruses as every good Nerd/tech would do and if its clean, unzip and install and see if it works. Lety me know.
