Try unplugging and re-plugging. If the does not work try to start the Player without letting it load. i.e. give it a separate command before trying to eject disc.

Dvd in player but display says no disk

Check the regional code of the DVD you want to play. It is at the back of the DVD cover. It should be compatible with the regional code which your DVD player can play. If they are not tallying the disc will not be read

When a disc is loaded, it reads no disc, and disc cannot be played.

It is very possible that the lens motor has burnt out. Sometimes the capacitors on the motherborard short out causing the gear timing to go out..

The only thing you can do to fix this is to take the cover off. Get cotton swab and dip it rubbing alcohol and clean the glass laser eye with it.

Disc is not working. Error message No disc

Try cleaning both the disk and the lens of the dvd player. Sometimes even a little bit of dust can make your dvd player go ballistic. Brands like Sony,Philips and LG are very sensitive. If anything else fails, you can take it to a repair shop to find out if the lens isn't cracked or the LED isn't responding while trying to read the disk.
