I replaced the lamp on a SONY KDF50WE665 and it won't power on. The green light comes on for a second and then the red light flashes 3 times continously.

I do agree with expert that it is lamp door problem but
I disagree that if it is not lamp door then it is *balast transformer* issue.
No, Not at all. Be aware, 3 blink code does not show ballast problem, it is lamp cover problem.

Makre sure the Door is closed on the lamp housing, You cannot just turn this on with the Door open. ( times out of 10 that is what is causing the issue. If the door is closed then is a balast transformer issue and you might want to check that as well.

Let me know ether way.

My kdf-e42a10 tv won't come on flashes green 7 times then flashes red 3 times.

The 3 blinks is lamp door not closed, what it really means is the door may be warped from the heat of the lamp===the door has a plastic peg on the back that when the door is in place engages a lever just behind the door. If the door is even a little bowed=three blinks.

Engage the lever with something not metal and see if set comes on, if it does replace the door.

Sony Grand WEGA KDF-60XBR950 60 green orange green red flashing light

3 blinks is a lamp cover error, did you make sure that the lamp cover is screwed in tight? Also check the lamp cover for deformity, there is a problem with your model where the set over heats and melts the lamp cover a little causing it not to make connection with the lamp cover switch. Let me know if you find either of these problems? If not we can troubleshoot a little further.

I have sony lcd hd ready 50inch rear projector tv model number KDF-E50A12U tv comes on after couple minuets tv clicks off to stand by then red light in stand by flashs 3 times gos back to green repets

Hello
Three blinks of standby light to Sony TVs indicates that the regulated voltage output from power regulator board is above thatn normal. The problem is with its power supply regulator board. Replace all the electrolytic cpacitors on that board with new ones. Replace all of them including small and large ones, at one time. OK.

Heard a pop. Checked and had to replace the lamp. Now when turned on the power-standby flashes green, then flashes red, but TV never comes on.

How many times red light flashing?
This is an error code and red flashing count indicates a particular problem in specific section of tv, please count how many times red light flashing after 3 seconds long pause and post here to suggest a solution.
Thanks.

Tv wont power up Standby light keeps flashing.

First step in any Sony LCD projector repair is bulb or lamp replacement. Fixes 95% of problems.

Taking apart and trying to measure things without a known good bulb is a waste of time and effort.

Problem for Sony Grand WEGA KDF-55WF655. Hello,

5 times Red LED blinks means Lamp Driver Error. (KDF-55WF655)
2 possible reasons, either Lamp is gone or Ballast Supply got bad.
Replace lamp first, in most cases it solved the problem.
How old is this TV and did you replaced lamp recently?
Thanks.

TV won't come on. Standby goes green, then goes red blinks 3 times

3 flashes means the lamp door is not on correctly or the lamp door switch is broken.

Standby light flashes 3 times

A 3 flash pattern indicates that either the lamp is not seated correctly or that the lamp door is not latched properly. It can also be a fault with the switches that sense whether the lamp is seated or the door is latched. Try reseating the lamp and relatching the lamp door
