Are you using the remote or touch button on case to eject tray?
Sometimes the top lid gets warped and prevents the tray from opening. Press eject and lift the front part of the lid at the same time.

I have a samsung blu ray player and the tray won't

The timing gear is out of sync, to reset the gears requires training and skill that cannot be explained on this site, you need someone that knows what they are doing, or the gears will end up getting stripped making matters worse.

The tray on my samsung dvd r160 will not open. There isn't a small hole to stick a pin in and open manually. I've taken the case off but can't see anything out of place John

Only computer DVD drives have a hole in the front for you to eject the disk. See on the under side of the player if there is a **** or slot with an arrow marking for you to use a screwdriver and push the eject mechanism. Do it with the player unplugged from the main power.

I got a new Samsung DVD player (1080) and when I put on brand new discs in it, it just kept whirring inside, but nothing came up on the screen ! I have it connected via HDMI cable to a Samsung LCD TV, so...

If a new DVD player ur tv dose recgonises the DVD disc and not reading the DVD disc,it might be dirty or scratches and cracks on the DVD disc itself.Tries It with other DVD discs,if have the same problems, than it is the DVD player itself, newly bought, yes return it get another one.

I need the multi region code for a Samsung DVD H1080

Sorry, there isn't one. Your model is not hackable.

The usual Samsung hacks involve using the remote to enter the correct numbers but your model has no number keypad on the remote. Substituting a universal remote also does not work and I've been informed by Samsung that the region coding on this model is hardware encoded just like on many Sony and Panasonic models so you cannot even override the coding using a service centre remote control (I've tried). I discovered this when a friend purchased a large quantity of clearance overstock region 6 DVD H1080's and asked me to convert them for resale in the UK (region 2).

To hack your model requires internal hardware replacement and this is not economically viable.

I have bought samsung dvd player h1080 and it seems that it is region 1 how can i make it region 2. thanks

Hello,

After searching the best known region hack databases I have found one process for your make and model. I can not assure you that it will work 100% but it's the only known process.

Turn on the Player with no disc on the tray. The tv screen and the dvd lcd will display "No Disk"

2. Press the "Repeat" key on the Samsung remote control

3. Press the keys: "5 7 5 3 8" on the remote. Number 2 appears on the screen for a short time.

4. Press "9". Number 9 is displayed on the screen.

5. Press the "Open/close" button in the remote. The tray will open. Leave it open for a few seconds.

6. Just press the "On/off" button in the remote.

7. You now have a multi-region dvd player!!

I hope this works for you, thank you for choosing Fixya!

Just got a samsung H1080 DVD player playing black and white only

The component connection should have one red, one green, and one blue connector that will connect to the back of your player and the back of your television. Then there should also be another red and a white connector that should run from the AUDIO L & R OUT of your player to the AUDIO L & R IN beside the Component IN connections on your TV. The yellow cord would normally be running from the VIDEO OUT on the back of your player to one of the VIDEO IN connections of your TV.
