How do I scan a doc from printer to computer - HP Photosmart C6280 Printer

use the photoshop software and open it go to the menu and click scan doc or just scan.
image would be displayed select the wanted of you doc to scan and click scan button.

You can actually scan directly to an application(ex. MS Word application). Also, make sure the Lexmark OCR scan software is installed on your computer (the software is available on the install disc that came with your printer).
1. Load an original document into the ADF or on the scanner glass. 2. Press Scan Mode. 3. Press ? or ? repeatedly until the MS Word application is highlighted. 4. Press check button. 5. Press Start Color or Start Black to start scanning.

Follow this steps on how to scan docs/files
> open the top cover, load original document facedown on the scanner glass.
>close the top cover to avoid dark edges on the scanned docs
> Make sure printer is connected to computer and both printer and computer is on.
> From the printer control panel press scan
> Follow the instructions in computer screen.
If u are using Windows
> Repeat 1 and 2 on top instructions,
Do one of the following;
> In windows vista click select all programs and then select the printer program folder from lists.
> In Windows XP click start Programs or all programs and then select the printer program folder from the list.
> Click Lexmark Productivity Studio
> On the main screen click scan
> follow the instructions on the screen..

Please install the printer software and try to scan via the installed software from the computer. Or, start scan using scan button from printer; after installing software.

for normal scanning you can go to control panel and choose the option of scanner and camera wizard and do the scanning but it is good if you install the driver of printer which is contain the scanner software and give you more option of scanning.

while scanning try reducing the DPI of the scans. this will make the image smaller in size but it will effect the picture quality very little. but do keep in mind that the dpi must be atleast 70 for better picturization

Answer - scan doc to e-mail out. You need equipment (scanner, copier/scanner/printer, etc. to scan your doc. The software will ask you where you want to store it on your computer. Then go to e-mail program and click on new mail. After you fill out "to:", "regarding" etc. find the tab for "attachment". That tab will allow you to search your computer for doc you want to attach and send. Then send! Good luck! Va.

Has the machine got a doc feeder if so select twain scanning select doc feeder and the scan it will scan all pages in the feeder and then you should be able to save as one file.
