I've been playing Fable 2 quite frequently lately and it's been working fine. I played last night for an hour or two with no problems. Today I turn on my XBOX 360 and it keeps reading it as a DVD. I tried two other games and they started up fine. Now, on the back of Fable 2 there are marks going around the disc and swirls in random places. I tried cleaning the disc but they marks didn't come off. Did the game just wear out, or did my XBOX eat it?

check the timer.

I would try and resetting the modem and router, if that doesn't work let me know.

You could try doing something PRODUCTIVE with your time, instead of just playing games!

Try your Fable 2 disc on a friend's console that you know works and see if it plays. This would rule out the possibility of it being your Xbox for sure. Then it would have to be the game. If you didn't buy it too long ago, look inside the game package and find Fable 2's tech support number or go to their website and try to get a hold of them. Good Luck!

This looks to be a game disk problem, if you've played for 5 hours straight the heat from your 360 can warp the disk or damage the magnetic strip and the slightest changes there can do a number of things. Keep trying but you will most likely have to get a new disk... Sorry

Try to do system maintenance also,

Go to device options and press X,X,LB,RB,X,X

Then select yes on the pop-up screen

i have the same promblem. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt, however aproximately 2 months ago thsi promblem occured and i took my xbox apart and found a large amount of dog and lint hair(particularly because of my 3 dogs). Nevertheless i cleaned the hair out and it worked for a good two months before overheating last night while playing fable 2.

OK so i posted my problem yesterday 25/03/09 about fable 2 freezing... I didn't take the advice from xbox i decided to download the game onto my hardrive and it seems to be working fine now I have played for a few hours with no problems just made sure that i go into the game library and click on the fable 2 game and then take the oiption play from hardrive hope this helps others that are having trouble i'll keep you all updateds if i incure any other problems with it... good luck and happy gaming everyone

Both Fable one and two have glithches that pretty much screw up the game for good. I had a problem when i got fable one and it kept saying it had a problem ever time i tried to start it up. You can get a used copy for like ten dollars though.

Call Bose and they will send you an update CD to update the firmware of the CD/DVD player. I had a problem where a few of my new movies would not play at all. They sent me an update, no more issues. If you're a registered owner, they will send update CDs frequently, be sure you're registered as well.
