I can not unfreeze my Nextar GPS. I used the reset button but it won't reset.

Since the operating system and navigation software are preloaded into the internal flash memory of the GPS, the freezing may either be software or hardware failure. First, press the "Reset" button or push the stylus into the "Reset" hole, to see if the navigation software can load successfully. If the program still does not load, then the software may be corrupted. Also, if the internal memory fails to read or write and the software cannot load properly, it may be caused by hardware failure. visit Nextar.com to order your desired maps update and Check the overview description to see which SD card lists your GPS model number and serial number. Order the matching card.

Remove the existing SD card. This is usually found in a thin, rectangular slot on the side of the Nextar GPS.

Insert the SD card with the maps update into the empty SD card slot. Press until it clicks into place.

Reset the unit by pressing the "Reset" or pushing a pin into the "Reset" hole.

Click the "Navigation" button to have the maps automatically update on the GPS.

I want to reset my nextar gps passscode.
You simply need to locate the little reset button and press that for a few seconds, this will reset the unit back to factory fresh. Your user manual is below.

I have a nextar x3 gps and for some reason it will not turn on it just froze what can I do.
First, take out any SD cards you may have in it. Pull the stylus out of the back, and use it to press the small RESET button between the SD slot and the stylus... hold it in about three seconds.
This will reset the unit.
