Just had my second LG dryer delivered in a week.It will not heat.Starts, runs, but no heat. The first one did the same thing now this one too. This is an electric dryer.
Or it could be that the thermostats are bad to start with.
Call for service.

I had the same problem with my dryer. I bought a brand new house and the problem was with the house and not actually the dryer. I had the LG service people come out and look at it. The dryer duct on the outside of the house was getting stuck and not opening. We had to actually trim the metal so it would open. With it being stuck closed, it would send the heat right back to the dryer and the sensors would tell it that the clothes were dry.
Hope this is helpful!
Hi jillsimons,
If you have had two new dryers not heating it really sounds like it may not be a dryer problem but a home problem. I would first make sure you have the correct amount of voltage to the machine. It will require 220-240 volts to operate correctly. If one leg you your breaker is kicked or you have a blown fuse in your breaker box then your dryer will only be getting half the voltage it requres to operate. It will run but it will not heat. Secondly if you do infact have the correct voltage then this could be the only other possibilty.
The dryer vent would either be to long or blocked off. This will cause the dryer to blow its thermostats and the dryer would then stop heating until the thermostats are replaced.
I am sure one of these will solve your problem. So check your breaker box, kick them off and back on then see if you get heat. Then check your vents. If they are blocked clean them out and get you some thermostats. Or call for service, since the appliance is new they will not charge you for a service call. Atleat I would'nt. Have a great day and good luck to you, I really hope this was helpful to you. [email protected]
