I am replacing the fan on a Sanitaire vacuum - I need to know if the threads are regular or reverse.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
The Sanitaire is a Eureka either a household or commercial vacuum and the plastic fan blade will push on but the fan pulley I believe is a clockwise and you tighten down with a wrench, there is only one way the fan pulley will screw on so you can make a mistake, if you have questions please feel free to contact your local vac dealer. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

How to download an owners manual or sanitaire red mighty mite model 3683?

There really isn't much to know about this vacuum in the owner's manual. It has attachments, doubles as a blower by attaching hose to back end. Practice the usual safety standards like don't use near water. Ck the prefilter on bag changes. That's about it.

I have a Sanitaire model S663. It came with the 12" Vibragroom I aluminum roller brush E-53272. Is the Sanitaire Vibragroom II 12" steel roller brush E-53270 interchangeable?

If you go to this URL:
http://evacuumstore.com/c-57-sanitaire-parts.aspx
You will see both of the brush you mention. Compare what they show and if necessary, call the on line store for their input.

Replacing and connecting

From the bottom, remove the the fan cover and fan. Then remove the top cover, it is held on by 2 springs that you remove from the bottom, and then the screw in the HT. adjustment knob. Take out the four screws holding the motor, then the motor will come out. Part # for a motor is 54352-11, or you can rebuilt your old one. Go to a repair shop and they can order what you need.
